I've had a couple of questions about the release date for Kostya and Alexei. After all the stress that went with the Nikolai 2 release delay, I was extremely hesitant to put a firm "official" date on Kostya and Alexei. So I didn't--and I'm glad I didn't. My sort of quiet goal was to release Kostya this week but that's not going to happen for a variety of reasons. The main reason is that ====>THIS<==== happened. If you're plugged into the romance world, you've heard all about the Ellora's Cave vs Dear Author lawsuit. I'm not going to get into it here. If you read my post, you'll get my final word on EC and the way it has impacted my other pen name. I have been dealing with all of that bullsh*t since last winter. I tried to keep my problems there as quiet and private as possible, only discussing them with my attorney and my writer friends. Walking away from the Grabbed series was freeing in a way--but it was also extremely emotionally and physically draining. I cried. A lot. So much. Writing books is a creative business and my well went dry in October. That's why I had a hard time wrapping up Kostya's book and polishing Alexei's. Honestly? I'm tired. I went to the NINC writer's conference with lots of big plans to write and edit and write--but I slept. A lot. And unplugged from most social media and the internet and my iPhone. And took kiddo to the beach and spent quiet evenings with the Viking. And it was nice. We're home from our mini vacation and I'm back in my office. I'm writing and editing again and loving every minute of it. The words are finally flowing easily again and I'm remembering why I fell in love with this series. Kostya and Alexei will be released by the end of the year. In fact, Alexei actually has a "official" release date because my PR folks made me pick one. When I get the final cover for that book later this week, I'll share the release date. Kostya's book will come out before Alexei's. If you stalk me here or on FB or are on my newsletter, you'll get a notice when it's ready. Audiobooks! Right now, you can listen to Ivan and Dimitri in audio. Last week, I approved the final audio for In Kelly's Corner so it should pop up on Audible, Amazon, etc soon. In Jack's Arms, Yuri and Nikolai are in production right now. Yuri is actually in the final stages! So for those of you who enjoy audio, you'll soon be able to listen to four yummy Russians and two Connolly brothers. ;0 Houston BookRave: I'll be hanging out and signing books at the Houston BookRave on November 15. Come see me! I'll have buttons and other fun swag. You can still grab tickets for this event. All packages for giveaways went out in mid-October. They should have all arrived by now, even the international boxes and envelopes. If you didn't receive your package or if there was a problem with your package, you can contact the Viking at theviking@roxieriverawriter (dot) com. He'll get it sorted out for you! I'm going through reader mail in the mornings. The Viking takes a box of envelopes and packages to the post office once a week so you can expect replies, swag, etc soon. Here's the Kostya cover and blurb. I'll pick out some sneak peeks to share of Kostya and Alexei soon. After a nightmare blind date, hair stylist Holly Phillips swears off men. For her, he'll risk it all. Comments are closed.
